RealOne Player, otherwise known as RealPlayer, is a video/audio-playing and DVD-burning program produced by RealNetworks. RealPlayer has a variety of functions, including utilization of audio and video, the ability to burn DVDs, the ability to download videos from the Internet and the capability to rip music from audio CDs. As with many media programs, RealPlayer also allows you to record sound via a computer microphone.
Things You'll Need Windows XP, Vista or 7 RealPlayer Plus
Instructions 1 Click on "Tools," in RealOne Player and select "Record from Mic/Line in."
2 Open the "Source" list. Select "Microphone."
3 Enter the name you would like the recorded file to have in the "File Name" field.
4 Click "Record" to begin recording sound.
5 Click on "Stop Recording" when you are finished. You can find the file in your RealPlayer's "My Library" folder.
