Now in its sixth year, the Music Producers Guild Awards recognises the contributions made by recording professionals to the success of the UK music industry.

The event will take place on Thursday February 13th 2014 at the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel in London.

The Producer of the Year Award winner also receives the BRIT Award for Best Producer, and both prizes will be handed out at the ceremony next month.

The Guild has also announced it will present top producer, musician and songwriter Trevor Horn with the Award for Outstanding Contribution to UK Music, while highly-regarded studio designer, technical engineer and authority on disc cutting lathes, Sean Davies, is being given a Special Recognition Awardthis year.

An MPG Award is highly sought-after by recording professionals because it represents an endorsement by your peers, said MPG chairman Steve Levine. Those who win an MPG Award are known to be at the top of their game as a recording professional.”
